I'm running as a WRITE IN candidate for Denton County Sheriff.

Let me give you a brief background of why I'm doing this:

I've been in defensive occupations most of my life. I've taught several styles of martial arts, I was a bouncer in NYC, an infantry marine in both Iraq and Afghanistan, and I worked under sheriff Murphree, and Travis before him, at Denton County sheriff's office as a detention officer, booking supervisor, and member of the special operations response team.

Protecting isn't just what I do. It's who I am.

What I stand for:

I stand, first and foremost, behind these truths (and I fully intend to write lengthy posts or maybe even vlog about each one individually:

I believe in racial equality and an end to racial profiling in law enforcement.

I believe in decriminalizing legitimate sex work, and redirecting that energy towards stopping sex trafficking.

I believe in decriminalizing minor drug offenses and connecting people rehabilitation and help if they need it.

Being homeless should not be a crime.

Beyond this, what I represent specifically to law enforcement is a return to the 9 Peelian principles of policing by consent.

From Wikipedia:

"The Peelian principles describe the philosophy that Sir Robert Peel developed to define an ethical police force. The principles traditionally ascribed to Peel state that:

*Whether the police are effective is not measured on the number of arrests, but on the lack of crime.

*Above all else, an effective authority figure knows trust and accountability are paramount. Hence, Peel's most often quoted principle that 'The police are the public and the public are the police.'"

Peel created these principles in response to a criminal justice system facing the same kind of problems we face today, evidenced in qualified immunity, police brutality, and the ever increasing militarization of law enforcement. This has to stop. We have forgotten what we are supposed to be about, we have abandoned the public trust in pursuit of obedience not through respect but through fear and intimidation. We can, and we must, be better than this. Anything less is a descent into a fascist police state.

Lastly, if you think I don't 100% believe in transparency, how about this:

I am a transgender woman and mother of 2.

I am a dominatrix and adult entertainment actress, as well as a fetish/alt model.

I was the first person arrested in the Denton BLM protests, on June 1st 2020.
